Mary is a long term care resident of our facility and had a decline in her daily living and mobility functions. As a result of consistent and discipline specific goals that Mary was involved in establishing, the therapy & facility staff were able to facilitate her return to her prior level of function. Each day of therapy, Mary came with persistence in resuming walking with her rollator walker and performing other personal functions and was dedicated to accomplishing her goals in order to restore her functional independence & quality of life. She routinely shared with her primary caregivers in the facility the gains she had made during her therapy interventions & was quick to tell each of us, “Let me do it, otherwise I won’t be able to” when completing tasks.
We are ecstatic with Mary’s outcomes and to have her back in the swing of things spreading Christmas cheer throughout the facility for the holidays!
